Updates

Real-time usage in Boost Teacher Dashboard

Starting August 1, 2025, usage minutes will update in real time in the Boost Teacher Dashboard. For administrators, this real-time usage will be available in Admin Reports beginning Dec. 1, 2025. As students practice and learn in Boost Reading and Boost Lectura, teacher reports will update with accurate usage data in real time, so you can ensure your students are meeting their targets.

Assignable Boost Reading Benchmark Assessment

Starting July 1, 2025, teachers in districts using both Boost Reading and mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition will now be able to assign the embedded Boost Reading Benchmark Assessment for their students without DIBELS access.

Improved navigation

This year, we’re rolling out a more user-friendly navigation experience with:

  • An accessible sidebar menu for quick access to key educator resources within sections, like Content, PD Library, and Apps.
  • A new Apps menu organized by subject.
A web dashboard displays recommendations for an educator, including resources on professional development, assessment scoring, and lesson planning, with illustrated icons beside each recommendation.

Free content for you to explore

Explore a growing library of free math, science, and literacy content using the Discover button. You can even assign these activities to students through the digital platform, giving them more ways than ever to explore, engage, and learn!

New fluency practice

Beginning Jan. 2026, Oral Reading Fluency Practice with Teacher Reporting will be added to Boost Reading for grades 2–5 in the 2025–26 school year. This oral reading fluency practice will leverage automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology to support students as they practice and learn to read fluently. Feedback will be provided to both students and teachers with this addition.

Noteworthy features

PD Library

You’ll find plenty of professional development (PD) resources in the new PD Library to ensure your Boost Reading and Boost Lectura implementation runs smoothly. The PD Library can be accessed by selecting the Programs & Apps menu in the top navigation bar when logged into Boost Reading or Boost Lectura.

Teacher Dashboard updates

During the 2024–25 school year, the following updates for Teacher Dashboard were released:

Closed Captioning is now a teacher-controlled feature that you can access from the Class Settings section of the Teacher Dashboard. This update alleviates any concerns of students accidentally toggling the closed captioning on/off during an assessment.

Limiting Curioso customization is a teacher-controlled feature you can also access from the Class Settings section of the Teacher Dashboard. This feature:

  • Gives you the ability to decide how much time your students can spend in customization (30, 60, 90, or 120 seconds).
  • Prevents students from going back in to customize their Curioso within the same logged-in session.
A classroom management software interface shows a table with student names, login options, program levels, and various class settings.
