Hello Colorado teachers and leaders!

We’re excited to continue to support Early Literacy Assessment Tool (ELAT) schools in Colorado!

Stay in the know! Download the Amplify News Brief for important ELAT information on how Amplify is here to help you.

Schools that participate in ELAT will receive the following mCLASS® tools and supports:

Important information

  • mCLASS is launching several new and exciting features for educators in July to save educators time, extend their reach, and support their efforts to provide students with engaging instruction and intervention support to help develop early literacy skills. Check out the updates!
  • Each participating District will receive DIBELS 8th Edition Assessment kits. One kit per grade, K-3 will be shipped. Materials can also be downloaded for free. Click the mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition materials section below for directions on downloading materials.

Please visit our Technical Onboarding website for information regarding enrollment and licensing.

Beginning of year (BOY)

  • ELAT students need to be assessed within the first 30 calendar days of school.
  • Kindergarten consideration: Through a provision in HB15-1323, you may choose to use up to 60 calendar days for initial benchmarking. However, we encourage districts to continue with best practices by benchmarking and providing support early in the year—within the first 30 days. Completion of your READ BOY assessment within the first 60 days will inform the literacy component of your readiness assessment.
  • To make changes to your benchmark dates, please email help@amplify.com.

Middle of Year (MOY)

  • Select a two-week window that falls within Nov. 27–Dec. 22 or Jan. 3–26. Your dates must be prior to the holiday break or after the holiday break.
  • To make changes to your benchmark dates, please email help@amplify.com.

End of Year (EOY)

  • Select a two-week window that falls within the April 22–May 17 time frame.
  • To make changes to your benchmark dates, please email help@amplify.com.
